Privacy Policy

Last updated 19 October 2026

Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with and the choices you have. The short version: we use your details to deliver what you bought, support you and keep in touch, we never sell your information, and we never share your mobile number or text consent for anyone else's marketing.

1. Who we are

Broccoli Mum Ltd ("Broccoli Mum", "we", "us" or "our") sells plant based recipe books and meal plans, an online course and a weight loss coaching programme, all founded by Ami Deane. Broccoli Mum Ltd is the data controller for your personal information. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use broccolimum.com (the "site"), buy from us, join our emails or texts, book a call or join coaching, and how we use and protect it. If you have any questions, email us at admin@broccolimum.com.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us. When you buy something, sign up for recipes, register for a live class, apply for coaching or book a call, we collect:

  • Your name, email address and mobile phone number
  • Your country and time zone
  • Your answers to application and assessment questions, such as your goals, current weight, what you have tried before and how ready you are to start
  • The calls you book and any messages you send us
  • Your orders and purchase history, including what you bought, when, the amount and any discount code
  • Your billing details. Card payments are handled by Stripe and we never see or store your full card number

Information collected automatically. When you visit the site we and our partners collect browsing activity, such as the pages you view, the links and ads you clicked to reach us, your device and browser type, your approximate location from your IP address, and similar data collected through cookies and pixels (see Cookies and tracking).

3. How we use your information

We use your information to:

  • Process your orders, take payment and deliver your recipe books, meal plans and course access
  • Send order confirmations, download links, receipts and order updates
  • Book, confirm and remind you about calls, live classes and coaching sessions
  • Review coaching applications and provide coaching if you join
  • Answer your questions and give customer support
  • Send you recipes, tips, offers and news by email, and by text message where you have agreed to receive texts. You can opt out at any time
  • Understand how people use the site and measure and improve our advertising
  • Prevent fraud, keep the site secure and meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations

Where UK or EU data protection law applies, we rely on these legal bases: performing our contract with you (orders, course access and coaching), your consent (marketing emails and texts, and non-essential cookies), our legitimate interests (running, securing and improving our business, and measuring advertising), and legal obligations (tax and accounting records). Health and weight details you choose to share in an application are used only to assess and deliver your coaching, with your consent.

4. Text messages (SMS)

If you give us your mobile number and agree to receive texts, for example in a sign-up form, at checkout, when you apply for coaching or when you register for a live class, we will send you text messages from Broccoli Mum. These include recipes, offers and other marketing texts where you have agreed to them, and call and class reminders, booking confirmations, coaching updates and order updates.

We use your mobile number, your opt-in consent and the date and time you gave it only to send you these texts, to keep a record of your consent and to honour opt-out requests.

We will not share your mobile information or opt-in consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All other categories, such as text messaging originator opt-in data and consent, will not be shared with third parties. This does not include the messaging platform and phone carriers that deliver our texts on our behalf, which may only use your number to send our messages.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out, or HELP for help. You can also email admin@broccolimum.com. Full details are in our Mobile Terms of Service.

5. Who we share information with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run our business, and only so they can do that work for us:

  • Payment processing (Stripe)
  • Order management and digital delivery (Shopify)
  • Website hosting and our database (Supabase and our hosting provider)
  • Email and text message marketing (Klaviyo)
  • Our customer relationship, booking and booking text platform (GoHighLevel / LeadConnector)
  • Video calls (Zoom) and video hosting for our classes and course
  • Analytics and advertising partners such as Meta (Facebook and Instagram), Google, TikTok and our ad attribution provider, which receive browsing and conversion data through cookies and pixels
  • Our coaches and support team, who are bound to keep your information confidential

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a sale or restructuring of our business. The SMS commitments in Text messages (SMS) apply in every case.

6. Cookies and tracking

We use cookies, pixels and similar technologies to keep your cart and login working, remember your details when you come back, understand which pages and ads people find useful, and show you relevant ads on other sites and apps.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. You can also control the ads you see in your Facebook, Instagram, Google and TikTok ad settings. Blocking cookies may stop some parts of the site, such as checkout, from working properly.

7. How long we keep information

We keep your account, order and coaching records for as long as you are a customer and for as long afterwards as we need them for support, disputes and legal, tax and accounting purposes (usually up to 7 years for order records). If you unsubscribe from emails or texts, we keep a record of your opt-out so we can keep respecting it. We delete or anonymise information we no longer need.

8. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you
  • Ask us to correct or delete it
  • Object to or restrict how we use it, or ask us to move it to another provider
  • Withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting anything we did before
  • Opt out of marketing emails (click unsubscribe in any email) and texts (reply STOP)

To use any of these rights, email admin@broccolimum.com. We will reply within 30 days and will not treat you differently for using them. If you are in the UK or EU you can also complain to your data protection authority, such as the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk). California residents have the right to know, delete and correct their information and to opt out of the sale or sharing of it. We do not sell personal information.

9. Security and international transfers

We use trusted providers, encrypted connections and access controls to protect your information, but no website or system is ever completely secure. Our providers may store and process information in the UK, the United States and other countries. Where we transfer information out of the UK or EU, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

10. Children

Our products and coaching are for adults. The site is not intended for anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you think a child has given us their information, email admin@broccolimum.com and we will delete it.

11. Changes and contact

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed, and we will tell you about any significant changes. For any question about this policy or your information, email admin@broccolimum.com.
